Integration Tools for Web Agencies and Webmasters

Overview

This guide covers the Reservit tools for our clients and their web agencies. They let you:

• add Reservit Hotel, Reservit Activities and Reservit Restaurant buttons to the property's website: booking link, rates and availability calendar, quick search, and more;

• feed the website with descriptive, rate and availability data: widgets, modal windows, Best Price API, iCal calendars, offers web service.

Common parameters

In the URLs below, always replace:

The language parameter is langcode=LL in the hotel booking engine, and lang=LL in the Best Price API and the Restaurant booking engine.

Language codes: FR French, EN English, IT Italian, ES Spanish, DE German, NL Dutch, RU Russian, ZH Chinese (CH is also accepted).

Our booking pages are responsive: these URLs work on desktop, tablet and mobile, in portrait and landscape.

Branding

Reservit applies the client's branding to the booking pages in a standard way; no other customization is possible. Three elements can be changed:

• Header: an image or banner up to 1024 px wide (recommended height: 250 px max). Animated headers and menus linking to external pages are not supported.

• Main color: a single color applied to every booking step.

• Page background: a color or a fixed image.

The footer is standardized by Reservit and cannot be customized.

Settings: Reservit Manager, Manage my property > Booking page customization > Reservit Booking Engine customization.

Reservit Hotel buttons

The current booking engine is https://secure.reservit.com/engine/booking/AAAAA/HHHHH/. Legacy /fo/booking/ and reserhotel.php URLs still redirect to it, but use /engine/ directly. The only exception is the booking lookup and cancellation page, which stays on /fo/.

General access and rates calendar

This link opens the rates and availability calendar, unfiltered. Use it on a button or in an iframe on a website page.

Link with dates and number of guests

With dates, replace /dates with /avail: visitors land directly on the available offers. A quick search form on the website can build this link.

• Use fday/fmonth/fyear rather than begindate/enddate: those are read in the language's date format, so 26/11/2026 is rejected in English.

• If nothing is available on the requested dates, the engine shows the calendar.

Promo code

Add discountCode=XXXX so the code is already entered and validated: visitors don't have to type it.

Watch the case: discountCode takes a capital C. With lowercase discountcode, the code is ignored.

Gift box or gift card

To book with a gift box, add rateid= with the ID of the gift box offer and giftcode= with the gift box code. The code is made up of the gift box number and its security code, separated by |, which must be encoded as %7C in the URL. It remains valid until the gift box is redeemed.

With a valid code, the calendar opens on the gift box offer, with no price shown since the gift box is already paid for. An invalid code displays: "Online booking for this gift box is no longer allowed. Please contact the property."

Without giftcode, rateid= with the gift box offer simply shows that offer's calendar, with its prices and available dates.

Filter by unit or offer

Not recommended. A filtered link only shows the requested unit or offer. If the property has availability in other units or offers, visitors don't see it by default. Use these filters only when that is intended, for example on the page for a specific cabin or for a campaign tied to an offer.

• Multiple comma-separated values show all the listed units or offers.

• catcode only works with roomtcode: on its own, it is ignored and nothing is filtered.

• Category and type IDs: Manage my property > My rooms > My online rooms. Offer IDs: My rates and availability > My offers.

These parameters can be added to the general link or to the link with dates. The filter is kept when visitors go through the calendar.

Booking lookup and cancellation

This page lets visitors view or cancel a booking. It stays on /fo/: the /engine/ booking engine has no equivalent.

Best Price: widget and API

"Best Price Guaranteed" widget

The widget is embedded directly in the property's website. It:

• shows the best direct booking price for the requested dates in real time;

• compares it with a distributor's best rate;

• leads straight to booking ("More criteria" or "See availability").

It adapts to the property's branding and can be displayed horizontally or vertically, at any width. It is generated with the integration wizard.

"Best Price" API

The API is an alternative to the widget, suited to responsive websites: it returns prices and the webmaster handles how they are displayed. Use it to showcase the best rate on the home page and on room, promotion or product pages.

It is public and accepts calls from any website (Access-Control-Allow-Origin: * header). The website can therefore call it directly from the browser in JavaScript, with no server-side script or PHP proxy.

• bestPrice is the direct price formatted for display, and bestPrice_unFormatted its numeric value, for the entire stay: before taxes in North America, taxes included in Europe.

• bestPriceDistrib* and nameDistrib are returned when partidDistrib is provided: the direct price and the distributor price come back in a single call.

• A value of -1 means the offer can't be sold for those dates: sold out, minimum stay not met, too many guests, or the distributor doesn't sell it.

• Don't confuse it with partid: used alone, partid replaces the direct price with the partner's price. To compare prices, use partidDistrib.

iCal availability

Each unit (category + type) publishes its booked nights in an iCal calendar. A website can use it to display availability or filter available units, for example for cabins or vacation rentals.

Replace CCCCC with the category ID (roomtcode) and TTTTT with the type ID (catcode).

If you're unsure about the IDs, the Reservit support team can also provide the property's iCal URLs.

• The calendar accepts calls from any website (Access-Control-Allow-Origin: *): it can be read directly in JavaScript.

• Each booked period is an all-day event with no guest details: DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20261008, SUMMARY:Busy.

• The end date is exclusive: a night d is booked if DTSTART ≤ d < DTEND. A booking's departure day can therefore be the next booking's arrival day.

• The calendar only shows occupancy. Prices come from the Best Price API, which also tells you when a stay can't be sold (minimum stay, for example).

Offers web service

This web service supplies the client's website with the content of its offers as the page loads. The client can then manage its promotion and product pages from Reservit.

• For each offer (room, special offer, product): title, photos, description in the languages set up by the property, rates, availability by dates and occupancy, booking and cancellation policies.

• For offer add-ons: title, photo, description, rate, whether it is mandatory, payment on site.

It is also available in XML, with an equivalent structure. Online documentation describes the message in detail.

Note: custom integrations built on this web service require certification by Reservit and involve fees.

Reservit Restaurant, Activities and Gift Cards

General access

This link opens the Reservit Restaurant booking pages. Replace XXX with the customer ID. The language accepts a short code (FR, EN) or a regional code (fr_FR, en_US).

Access to a specific service, product or category

In the manager, click the link on the title of the service, product or category to get its direct URL.

Integration wizard

The integration wizard generates the code for the Best Price widget, the Best Price API, the Reservit Restaurant widget and the Reservit Restaurant modal window. It also documents how to use them.

For the API, the wizard offers a PHP proxy (ProxIT). It is no longer needed: the API can be called directly from the browser (see "Best Price" API).
